Garmin Dual Timezone Watch Face

Post scriptum free download. You can use the barometer function on your watch for many things, from just checking for storms, all the way to looking for a narrow weather window to push for a mountaineering summit attempt.

A barometer should be simple to use. You should be able to glance at it and know what’s going on. At the same time, you should be able to notice trends: Is the pressure going up or down? By how much and how fast?

That’s where an analog gauge comes in. Just like a real barometer, with this watch face you can glance at your watch without pressing any buttons or sorting through menus and immediately notice what the barometer is reading, and what it was reading 6 hours or even 48 hours ago.

FEATURES AND USAGE: Install macos catalina on windows 10.

  • Full-time, fully-functional analog barometer with a dual scale in mBar and inHg.
  • Optional – a unique “focused” dial scale design, user selectable – see screenshots and website for more details on that one
  • User configurable history bars for previous barometric pressure samples. 6h, 12h, 24h and 48h history options.
    • This works in real time. The app will populate the history over the time you are using it for the first time.
    • the height of the bar corresponds to how new/old it is. Newer history samples are taller than older ones.
    • If you select 48h for example:
      • Every time 1/10th of 48 hours passes the app will average the last 10 barometer readings and save them to history with a time stamp
      • Every time a new piece of history is added, the older one is shifted down the list
      • A total of 10 history samples are recorded for any period selection. e.g. if you choose 6 hours, 10 history samples will make up 6 hours. If you then change to 48 hours, those 10 samples will remain, and gradually re-populate over 48 hours.
  • Altimeter readout, in parallel, settable in metres or feet – calibrate the altimeter as you would normally on your device. Consider your device’s limitations as an altimeter in safety critical applications. Altitude readings are intrinsically linked to sea level barometric pressure. For this reason both altitude and pressure are shown full time.
  • Fonts from the Fenix 3 are back on your wrist (if you want)! Simply select “use legacy fonts” if you want to get a retro look
  • Time in 24h or 12h format (set in your device menu).
  • Day of week, day of month.
  • Second time zone (defaults to UTC) displayed along with a colour coding when second time zone is “tomorrow” or “yesterday” relative to local time – very helpful when reading Wx briefings with UTC time/date stamps.
  • Orange and red ‘inoperable’ marker flag – appears in the upper-right of the gauge if barometric pressure is unavailable, or if it is below zero. The most likely cause of this is a bad calibration – try to adjust the altimeter/barometer calibration on your device menu.
  • If you have “raise” or “gesture” to wake type settings active on your watch, a small green indicator will orbit the time window marking seconds when this is performed
  • Bluetooth connectivity indicator.
  • Low battery indicator (under 20%).

The remainder of this page contains the instructions you need to install and purchase both a trial version, and a full-featured licence of my Barometer Watch Face for select Garmin watches. I’ve tried to make this as simple as possible.

Garmin Dual Timezone Watch Face

To activate your licenced version you will need to do the following:

Digital Dual Time Zone Watch

  • Once you have followed the first step above and the watch face is working for you, use either your computer (using Garmin Express app) or your cell phone (Garmin Connect mobile app) to navigate to the settings for the watch face.
    • Important! Before buying – ensure that you can edit these settings for the watch face using one of these two methods.
  • Follow the purchase link below, pay the licence fee and enter your email address on the order.
  • Shortly after your payment is confirmed, you should receive a reply with an authentication key. Enter this key into the relevant box in the watch face settings menu (either Garmin Express or Garmin Connect mobile app).
  • Once you enter your authentication key, you should leave it as-is in your settings menu. It will only be required to enter once, but don’t delete it from the menu. You will now have a fully functional barometer watch face!
    • Important! This authentication key will expire after ~24 hours. If you don’t enter it in time, or for whatever reason you need a new authentication key (device-factory-reset, app completely uninstalled from device, installing on a new device), simply reply to your order confirmation (to canadiangauges[at]gmail[dot]com) with the word “re-issue” in the subject line, and we will send you a new key.
